I think this article misses the core problem too. Live Service sucks the life out of everything except for what’s featured in the current and next season. Devs have no time to cool off, or come up with interesting features as they’re on a constant carousal of content that must be sold soon. Destiny ran into this issue even with the DLCs, New World did, live service really just means everything is being ground to a fine paste and all of it is homogenous and bland.
