They probably released it because the situation has changed in a way that makes the information irrelevant, probably because it’s in the past, or knowing it could somehow damage the enemy. Any communication from a country at war should be treated as propaganda.
Or, they know Russia will treat this as misinformation, so they are free to tell the truth.
