A new “parenting” trend in China is seeing young women embrace “painless motherhood” by raising cotton dolls as their own children.
Apparently they use them in movies/TV shows a lot now instead of actual babies.
So they have one reasonable use.
But yeah up close it’s uncanny valley nightmare fuel.
