Did a bit of searching with no luck; just wondering, are there any active communities for either Diablo or ARPGs in general?
Not really, but there are some people watching :)
It’s probably best to go into (or at least crosspost to) the general gaming communities for any game-specific stuff. You’ll probably get plenty of interaction that way anyway :)
Kind of figured as much. Had to ask though in my seemingly eternal endeavor to completely cut reddit out of my life :/

DevilutionX is absolutely awesome.
They have made an open source engine compatible with Diablo and Hellfire MPQ files. It is pretty awesome and works on a whole bunch of platforms that Diablo never worked on. It also fixes a bunch of problems especially around graphics, along with plenty of enhancements.
