Google seems to be working on new toggles in the Android backup settings to let users choose which data types to back up.

    Well, more control about what apps are backed up at google, not really much more control about the backup process in general.

    It’s a shame that options for backing up a device are extremely limited at the moment.

      Part of why I run rooted.

      Then I can do proper local backups and sync them to my own server, Google not required.
