Great, maybe in another 2 decades we can run Half-Life 2!

Shade aside, this is cool. I just remember about 20 years ago when I first got into free software that I was so excited about learning about the project just for progress to be excruciatingly slow.

That’s okay by me. In fact I prefer the utterly bloat-free Win2K-style utilitarian OS. Make the foundation solid, and let each user add their preferred bloat collections on top.

    ReactOS-0.4.15-release-1-x86.iso

Got it to install on Promxox 9.2.
    PowerEdge R230 … CPU(s) 8 x Intel® Xeon® CPU E3-1270 v6 @ 3.80GHz

    It’s 32-bit.
It wouldn’t install until I used these settings. (only) 1cpu. (only) 2gb. IDE drive. SeaBIOS. i440fx machine.
It did boot. Failed to install device drivers. It did get online. Hehehe. Floppy disks controllers. Wine Internet Explorer.

Installed LZDoom/Freedoom using Applications Manager. It ran.

I don’t know. The OS runs. Interesting.

I mean, i5-2400 and nVidia 8400gs - an overkill for a Half-Life, even Half-Life 2. But not exactly a powerful hardware that runs on a OSS windows. I say good job to devs.
