A new survey shows Californians are opposed to the construction of data centers in their communities, reflecting nationwide concerns about artificial intelligence.
I just found out they are building three data centers in the county south to me. I only found out because the road I prefer to take to my dispensary has been closed for like a month. There should be a state wide referendum or approval needed for that sort of thing, not just the county or city, they will effect everyone for a huge radius around them, not to mention it’s not just THEIR water to give away to these companies, it’s all OUR water. These companies have shown us zero reason we should trust them with a resource so great as that it’s appalling
