I use Aegis for everything but Google. Perhaps Google is just burying the fact that you can do this. Unlike everywhere else, they verbally only state Google Authenticator.

I use aegis and a hardware key for Google. Never been prompted to use Google authenticator.

Otka on the other hand can burn in hell. How do you take a open standard and shit on it. How do you require network access for your code?

Also fuck Microsoft, I have my hardware keys registered and it only allows me to use the authenticator app. Regardless of what options I choose.

Yes you’re right, it’s buried. You have to choose the Google Authenticator option but they don’t say it also works with other authenticator apps.

I’ve never found a single place that tells you that Google Authenticator works with other authenticator apps. They always just say Google Authenticator. And I’ve learned that Google Authenticator is the equivalent of Kleenex, which is a brand of tissue. It doesn’t matter that it’s a branded tissue. A tissue is a tissue. When I see Google Authenticator anywhere now, I immediately know that it means TOTP application.
