    sideloading is not a thing. it is Just a word to make you feel guilty about installing software from other sources than the proprietary store. I wish journalists wouldn’t use this term anymore

      Correct, it’s just another install. On the hardware that YOU bought that the GoogleNazis now say you don’t actually own

        No, it’s not “just another install”

        It specifically means installing software from a safe source, like fdroid.

        Otherwise, you’d be getting it from some unsafe place like Google Play Store, which is loaded with spyware (which isn’t allowed when you install from safer sources like fdroid)
