You can’t make observational comedy about being a young and hungry comedian/writer when you’ve spent the last decade being wealthy and out-of-touch.

If he was still clever, he probably could’ve threaded the transphobia needle and either figured a way to make it right or made it so funny that enough people would enjoy it regardless. But now he’s cranky and spoiled by success so he’s just going to get angry, which is even less funny.

Honestly I didn’t even scroll enough to realize there was a paywall I just saw the headline and that there was apparently an article below it and holy crap that headline is as Onion-y as you get.

As much as I hate the AI-gens, this is probably a good thing after that poor kid got talked into killing himself. I assume Google et al do similar already.

Now, if the cops react to being called for a person in crisis by tazing somebody, that’s a different problem.

Right? I don’t want an AI chatbot, I want a natural language oral shell scripting language with APIs for all the major services I use and good verbal man pages. The AI can be a separate tool on a separate hotword that I’ll probably only ever use to ask for help debugging the other one.

MS is also trying to be the one-stop-shop for people wanting to access AI-gen stuff through an abstracted provider-agnostic interface.

Can USB hubs even allow the phone to be charged and simultaneously control things through the same port? I know I tried that back in the USB2 days and found it infuriatingly false, since had set up a wired USB mouse and game controller to my tablet for portable shooters. One particular hazard is I’ve found that combining bluetooth headphones and game controllers can result in unplayably-bad latency on Android, so wired options would be nice.
