The big issue is that Android play store and iOS is a monopoly
A strike won’t fix that. What is really needed is a tier 1 phone with another app store which pays developers better, is easy to port to and is an alternative option . There is very little incentive for users to use a store that might not exist in 5 years and a strike of 100 devs won’t fix that.
Google will always maintain control over Android. The solution imho is to try to get sailfish ported to the latest phones. Or even a framework like phone (like one of the manufacturers planned years ago but never released)
Yeah. It’s a matter of national security for them to be able to monitor everything in their app store so they can compete against popular products
