Federal employees can talk about religion at work, including by encouraging coworkers to "re-think" their own beliefs, a memo said Monday.

I agree with you. On surface, it is a good thing. But again, this is Trump speaking.

I think maybe someone should convert Trump to Christianity.

Trump or christians in general… if those folks actually behaved as their own religion instructed, things would… well, honestly still be pretty fucked; but significantly less fucked than they are today!

I think society would be pretty good if the people who identified as Christian actually acted accordingly

I mean, there’s still shit like the promotion of slavery, stoning of gays, and subjugation of women that would lead us into a lot of the same issues we’re having today; but without the plethora of other to keep us all distracted, we’d probably have made a lot more progress against even those remaining few.

So, better, but still not good.

The Bible doesn’t promote slavery or the subjugation of women, the stonings are the old levitical law.

That’s not promoting slavery. It’s addressing slavery that’s already happening.

Also worth mentioning this isn’t like chattel slavery

Ah, because if the slavery is in the now, it’s OK.

Promoting slavery that’s actively happening is still promoting slavery.

It’s addressing it. Not promoting it.
