I hope we get there. But even that would be a return to status quo.

The typical cycle is democrats come in, do crisis control, enact stable (if lacking ambition) policies and leadership, and at year four or eight, the voters have forgotten the crisis and… Promptly vote back in republicans, who spend the next years systematically dismantling all progress until we’re back in crisis. Repeat. Happening since at least 1992.

what democrats have done anything progressive? all i see from everything post …Eisenhower… is completely unabashed balls deep ratfucking galore by everyone.

i guess we don’t call people removed or retard anymore, cool. hardly seems worth handing over all media companies to 4-5 people who coordinate to throw any and all elections whichever way they want.

cool, so your still just 1 medical emergency away from bankruptcy. barely able to save anything towards the future regardless.

meanwhile, you and all the other taxpayers are subsidizing record level profit taking for the US healthcare/pharma/insurance industry, costing the public more $ than literally every other countrie’s healthcare for zero material gain over a single-payer/universal system.

From the outside it was like a blame game, especially with the debt, say the otjers make debt, get voted on and create massive debt and crash/strain the market/economy until the otjers get back in to fix it somehow(you can’t just pay back those kind of sums without oeople feeling it, so they must be onboard, which americans never seems to be).

Maybe it’s gone so far something peoductive will come out of it (like people figuring out politics are important), but I’m not holding my breath.
