minus-squaremrmaplebar@fedia.iolinkfedilinkarrow-up20·2 days agoI’m not sure I really want my tax dollars to be insuring oil tankers traveling through a war zone. I’d rather my tax dollars insure sick people. Plus, who would be dumb enough to believe that Trump would ever hold up his end of a bargain like that?
minus-squareIratePirate@feddit.orglinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up3·1 day ago I’d rather my tax dollars insure sick people. Oh, but they are! All that money burned in operation Epstein Fury ensures sick people will stay in power.

minus-squarechahn.chris@piefed.sociallinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up3·2 days agoYou sure about that? We’re talking insurance, not all tankers would sink, the war itself is billions per day.
minus-squareGlytch@lemmy.worldlinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up11·2 days agoThe US government investing that much into a bunch of oil tankers would actually make them bigger targets because it would be another vector from which to bleed America’s coffers dry.
minus-squareBronzebeard@lemmy.ziplinkfedilinkEnglisharrow-up6·2 days agoYeah we can’t afford that either.
